No correspondence pertaining to the editing of L'Année philologique should be sent to the publisher Les Belles Lettres, which is responsible only for the distribution of the printed volumes.

Because of staffing constraints, the receipt of publications is acknowledged only when they are accompanied by the appropriate form.

Articles published in collections (proceedings of congresses, mélanges in honorem, etc.) are only noted when the collections in which they appear are directed for excerpting to the appropriate offices. Isolated articles from collections not otherwise mentioned are not cited.

The practice of including relevant articles from periodicals not regularly excerpted by L'Année philologique resumed with vol. LXXIV (2003). Authors are urged to verify that their submissions include the complete title and subtitle(s) of the journal, its ISSN (International standard serial number), year, series (if applicable), and the volume and issue numbers. The lack of any of this information will result in significant delay of a notice's publication, if not make it impossible.

It is self-evident that only publications that are strictly within the scope of L'Année philologique as it is defined in the « Note de consultation » can be taken into consideration.
